“The Conversation” – A Spoken Word Poem By Tanaka Mhishi

“Tanaka Mhishi is a survivor of male rape, and has written a play about his experiences. In order to help the actor playing him in the stage show, Tanaka composed this poem, ‘The Conversation’, to capture some of what it means to live with the trauma of sexual assault.”
